Graphics Can Transmit Data With Incredible Efficiency and Beauty

Updated: Aug 25, 2020

As a “visual” person who has a fast-visual memory and good aesthetic sense and an advocate of communication for social change, I am very interested in visual storytelling. I believe that graphics can transmit data with incredible efficiency and beauty. As Ted Talk speaker Tommy McCall said, graphics that help us think faster or see a book's worth of information on a single page are the key to unlocking new discoveries. Our visual cortex was built to decode complex information and is a master at pattern recognition. Graphicacy -the ability to read and write graphics enables us to harness our built-in graphics processing unit to process mountains of data and find the veins of gold hiding within.

Thereby, I would love to continue to improve my graphicacy and visual storytelling skills.

Here are some graphics I designed for 2019 UNESCO Forum on Sustainable Education and Global citizenship in the summer of 2019 when I interned with UNESCO Vietnam Office.
